
LETTER Re: Veto AG Civil Investigation Bill
This letter was sent to Governor McKee, urging him to a 2024 bill that would have exponentially expanded the authority and powers of the Department of Attorney General to engage in intrusive investigatory practices, and to do so without the presence of any meaningful guardrails.
The Governor vetoed this bill, citing our concerns. Read the veto decision here.
