This important legislation would make it unlawful for employers to refuse to hire, discharge or otherwise discriminate against an individual on account of their use of medical marijuana. Under this legislation, people who use marijuana legally for medical purposes are protected from unjust firings in the event of a positive drug test, unless they are impaired at work. The ACLU testified on behalf of this bill, and no further action has been taken on it.
