In the wake of the Trump Administration’s repeal of federal guidance addressing the rights of trans students, this report found that only 60% of RI's school districts currently have policies in place to protect the rights of transgender & gender non-conforming students.

Public meeting agendas in RI are often vague and entirely unhelpful to people who want to participate in their government. In reviewing just one week of public meeting agendas, the ACLU of RI discovered numerous violations of the public notice requirement part of the Open Meetings Act (OMA).
