JUNE 2018: Rights of Trans* Students and Youth

This month, we hear from Jaye Watts and Justice Gaines about some of the issues faced by trans students and youth.

Jayeson Watts is a licensed social worker, and the Director of Trans* Health at Thundermist Health Center in RI.
Justice Gaines is an organizer at RI Jobs with Justice and an activist with Queer Transformative Roots at PrYSM.

In April, the RI Department of Education formally filed regulations requiring all RI school districts to have comprehensive policies in place to protect the rights of transgender and gender non-conforming students.  Click here to read more about this.
